Advanced French

CÉFA offers a variety of courses both designed for Francophones and bilingual people as well as individuals seeking to learn French. Some of the courses we offer are free and others have a cost which will be specified next to each course.

Reading & Writing (Free)

We offer reading and writing courses for individuals seeking to improve their French. Three levels of grammar and French courses are available for the business sector. There is also an online grammar course that is available through one of our partners. The “Coalition Ontarienne de Formation des Adultes” offers online distance training (F@D). Registration is done in our offices to help you get started with the program, while meeting your needs along the way.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills (Free)

The communication courses are aimed at improving oral expression and interaction between learners in a relaxed atmosphere conducive to learning French.  We offer a variety of these courses: basics of daily life, phonetics and oral practice, as well as three levels of conversation classes.

Retail and Hospitality Skills (Free)

The retail industry is the largest industry in Sault Ste. Marie. This course is still under development; we would welcome any suggestions as to what you would want to get out of this course. The goal is to help one prepare to enter into the retail or hospitality industry or to help those who are already in the field.

Computers & Numeracy

Numeracy (Free) 

Our numeracy courses will teach you notions in mathematics or accounting. Contact us now to get the help you need.

Computer Skills (Free)

We offer computer training courses in Microsoft Office, computer basics and internet navigation, Facebook, Antidote (spelling and grammar software), Using my iPad and Using my Smartphone. Government Testing

French for Public Employees ($)
